Calibrate new tyres

HI All,

Having just updated my tyres to 255 55 20's they are obviously slightly taller than the 50's that came off. I read on here that the speedo will be slightly out now.. IS there anything I should do (perhaps with IID) to recalibrate the dash to the new style tyres..?

Thanks Ash

dont think there is Ash..

factory speedos are said to read slightly less than actual speed so with the 55's just remember that when the speedo says 70mph you'll be doing more or less spot on 70..

The sidewall is 1.3cm taller - I'd be very surprised if you can tell the difference from a picture.....

Wow - I'm surprised given that there's 5mm of tread between a new & worn out tyre - but I guess they fill the arches better Thumbs Up

Consider the difference between a 285/35/22 & the factory size of 275/40/22 Alistair... Whistle Thumbs Up

I fitted a set of supersize 285 50 20 on some RR sport sized rims. I new the size would be slightly wrong on the speedo, so I downloaded a coupe of speedo apps on my phone, and at 70 on the binnacle, they are showing 70 on both apps.
Weird!
