Have seen a couple of these over the years, look very nice in the flesh, has to be a collectable model.

Nice model and I do like the colour combination. But even in that condition they're asking very strong money. It's 10 years old when all's said and done.

1. Of 35 built. That means it's a 'rare car', and of some significant interest to LR fans. And it's top spec too. But I bet the dealer has a large profit waiting to be made here. Looks nice. Sensible, and unusual.

No it's not. It's yet another "limited edition" car, of which LR have made dozens. The 35th might be 1 of 35, but what about all the others? Westminster - carried over from the P38 and used 2 or 3 times on L322, CSK from the classic. Original Overfinch stuff, Landmark, AB Black edition, yadda yadda. And that's just the RR side. I really couldn't begin to count the number of special edition Deafeners out there.

If it had some provenance perhaps....but as it stands it's a VSE with a nice colour combo. Worth about 60% of what he's asking. Wonder if it's the same bloke who's trying to flog the wreckage of that Series 1 for 200 grand Rolling with laughter

Yes I see your point on limited editions, -but, some models have that draw factor for fans/collectors. So finding one of these limited runs, at a good price, means you get an unusual high spec car, at a price that you may think is reasonable.
Knowing what is potentially desirable and it's condition is paramount.
But you only need to look up say, Range Rover Linley, (p38) to find something, very special, and hugely collectable. Maybe the p38 Holland and Holland will go that way too. And there was also a 50th anniversary run out model. -better than most on the market, and these limited editions, are uniquely coloured etc. A bit like the 35th l322's
It's all about the price though. And the opportunity to buy. -now.
