Scotland 2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Baltic Blue
Spotted this today

In Taggarts Glasgow today, this was lurking, waiting for servicing. At first I thought it was the Defender replacement Whistle as it has beam axles, Defender dash, and I like to think that maybe there's a P38 engine in there, that nice petrol-cooled V8, but that's a guess. So...,

It certainly has Defender wheels, hubs, bumper and sidesteps so likely sitting on a def chassis. Wonder what the body is from?

The wheels are aftermarket items commonly fitted to the 90 / 110 range.

However, GLM's comment had me looking further and he's on to something.

Not only the bumper, but the door mirrors and hinges. Looking even deeper, the doors look very similar with a reduced shoulder line. They're different and it appears the original doors from a 110 and bulkhead have been covered / overlaid with a different skin which explains why all the glass appears to be recessed. Look at the sill panel, too. Pure LR. And the triangular panel behind the rear doors by the rear wheelarch.

The roofline is level, but you can see the window surrounds are incredibly thick and especially so above the windscreen, so I strongly suspect the traditional 90 / 110 sloping roof is under there.

The more I look, the more I see. Si. <This is my name.

Australia 2008 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Rimini Red

It's certainly more attractive than the staff on Taggarts service desk Whistle but I think Bellini has hit the nail on the head , they are not
defender wheels they're the ones you could get from Paddock a bit like the Mangle's but yes the more you look at it it looks like a skin dropped onto a Deafener

You can even see the rusty bulkhead chassis hanger behind the front wheel . 2008 MY Supercharged

Question Why would you go to the bother and expense to make a Defender look like a Volvo staff car? It does not compute....... bit like all the glass that doesn't quite fit, or the roof line that is too curved........ was it made in China..... maybe it's not a Volvo..... Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer...
