Old vs new (er)

Hi all. Went with a friend of mine to look at a couple of 2012 L322s 4.4'yesterday. He has a 2011 3.6 at the moment and it's like new. We drove the 4.4s and while a bit more grunty can't say I was overwhelmed Both were blue with cream and both in excess of 55k euro He didn't get what he wanted trade in wise so is still looking. What I took away from the. Experience is that while the 12s were lovely and the 11'was mint , my old 2007 was as quiet as the 3'of them and equally nice to drive

Smug is the term I would choose !!!!! 2015 4.4 AB

I'm surprised. The 4.4 cruising in 8th at 1300 revs is a total joy.

That said, I can only compare my 4.4 to my TD6 and there is no comparison there. There are plenty of discussions around here on the difference people feel and I have to say the 4.4 seems to come out on top. Thumbs Up 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Mine has followed a 3.6 and as said above 1300 revs in 8th is MUCH quieter than my old 2007. And a great big dollop of torque helps too Very Happy

Night & day IMHO...

The word I'd use to describe my 4.4 is "Epic". Even with the bits I still need to sort since getting it over a week ago.....

Depends how loud you have your music I suppose Whistle

I kind of agree - I wasn't impressed enough with the 4.4 to trade the 3.6 - so I hung on a bit longer & got an L405 SDV8 Thumbs Up

Hi all. Please don't think I am putting the 4.4 down , I will have one eventually but more that after driving the 4.4 and getting back into mine , I was far from disappointed. I was afraid it would be chalk and cheese and it wasn't I have driven a 3 litre and was shocked by the lack of power 2015 4.4 AB
