Shocked Those Hadex ones look sneaky.

I really just bulk them into 2 categories - fixed & average speed.

I've loaded them into the sat nav & have a different sound for each one.

I don't bother loading the red light cameras as I'm fine with those, but have been known to occasionally let my speed drift slightly over the limit on Motorways and dual carriageways Whistle

Wow thats a lot of unjoined up thinking on speeding , we have one type here in WA its mobile , green and they hide them in bushes at random locations . No attempt at all to make it about road safety simply a revenue stream . 2008 MY Supercharged

On my model year 2010 Sat Nav, I can't load speed cameras etc which is a shame - I'd be happy if someone can tell me different. I got with the vehicle a "Road Angel" which is very useful as not only does it give me a digital speed readout using GPS (handy for the 50mph sections of motorway it says 50 when my speedo says 54) also tells mw what is the speed limit on the road I'm on and warns of speed cameras and therefore I guess accident blackspots in plenty of time it also warns me of locations that have had mobile cameras sited there in the past. It updates automatically assuming your annual subscription is up to date.
I generally don't speed but as another poster says sometimes your speed can creep up, it also keeps me amused because if it warns me of something that isn't there I give it a damn good telling off - John Cleese style - hours of endless fun, Rolling with laughter Geoff

as like you Geoff, my nav doesnt allow speed camera inputs so i bought a very cheap [£23] 4.3'' chinese nav unit with igo primo software loaded which , like your road angel , tells me if i speed and also shows speed cameras.. ... - .- -.

I'm sure that on my nav unit, there's a speed set menu and if you drift over it sounds a warning chime.
have never tried it.
Usually use cruise control and set it to about 52 mph, in a 50mph zone, speedo's are normally out about 10%.
Thumbs Up

there is that option greg, but you can only set it for one speed, for instance if its set for 50mph then every time you go over that speed then it will sound which isnt very helpful... ... - .- -.

I don't know if TomTom do the same as Garmin whereby the speed camera locations can be uploaded by users.

This seems like a good idea on the face of it but for people either not knowing exactly where they are or 'helpfully' selecting large distances. Net result is that the damn thing can beep for hundreds of yards or even miles at a time, sometimes reasonable on a dual carriageway but pointless on most other roads and ends up with the warnings being turned off.

had to have a disco sport the other week, and it had a speed warning system fitted which repeated the speed limit until you slowed below it.

took a while to find out how to turn it off Whistle drove me mad.... if they made it so you could not turn it off then it would stop people speeding! having some patronising female voice tell me the speed limit would make me comply.......hang on that what i have now, and SWMBO is harder to shut up!
