Hi, after owning my 2007 tdv8 for 7 months I have only today driven it with the window open. I have noticed the turbo noise seems very pronounced? With windows up it's just a faint sound, but down it's very noticeable. My question is simply this, is this very obvious turbo spool noise normal and does you're range rover do it (tdv8's)

For anyone else concerned this is totally normal and all 3.6 tdv8s do it. The turbo boosting noise is noticeable but please don't mistake this for a obviously "noisy" failing turbo unit. The noise under slight load is "flutterey" due ti the v8 firing order and use of individual bank turbos. This all concerned my paranoia until listening to a couple more vehicle's
