Im looking at getting the wife and family over to Miami for a holiday, can anyone suggest a hotel in either Miami beach or downtown Miami.
Its only for a week mind.

Joe, depending on budget, we stayed here: http://www.metropolesouthbeach.com/index.html, there are loads of cafes round that area for breakfast etc + you're only one street behind the beach (Art Deco frontages you see on every tourist programme)
Alternatively, there are large hotels at either end of the beach, sure you won't be disappointed!

I normally try and stay at the Hilton Bentley very south end of South Beach. I have also stayed at the Marriott a couple of buildings nearer as well as teh Betsy Ross and the Lowes Hotel. Marriott Courtyard is a couple of blocks in land and therefore cheaper.

Some very nice Art Deco hotels and Versaci's old mansion on Ocean. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
