Replaced FSR but fan still over-running a bit

Finally got round to changing the FSR in my TD6 as was having battery drain issues and the fan was overrunning when i switched it off (on the dial) it would continue running for a while (cant remember how long for though as it was so long ago, been using it with fuse 12 removed for a while.

Replaced the FR and had her first outing today and the fan still ran for a few seconds after i switched he heater off, is this normal? Also, it was a bit noisy on and off for a while, is that normal bearing in mind it hasnt been used for best part of a year?
