front diff recall

my front diff doesnt look to have been changed, is the recall still valid or has it ended now ? thanks, mark.

It has ended but you might be lucky if you give it a try....many have had success after the fact .

2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Epsom Green

As Haylands says, the issue was if the diff was slightly misaligned to the front prop in the factory the splines would wear out as there is only adjustment at one end. The 'fix' was to add in another CV joint at the front so alignment wouldn't be a problem. If yours is still fine after 12 years it's been aligned correctly. The only problem may come if the alignment is altered in future, i.e. if the diff is moved or engine has to come out. I would only worry about it then.
