Hi Pete Ive got a 2003 TD6 and looking to reduce the access height only, is it hard to do with the IID tool? (I'm useless with technology). Looking to lower it as much as possible to allow the dragon-in-law to get in and out. And does it put any extra strain on the bags please? |

No its not hard and there is a write up on the gap home page. Also just write down all the settings before hand. I would try as l did lowering the access height only by 40mm. When you click in it you have to use the arrows to navigate and set. And l am sure you have to confirm and update the settings. If when you set it the access height keeps flashing and wont settle you have gone too far. I think l managed to get mine down 80mm but dont know if it was std prior.

Thanks John, where did you get your GAP tool from and how much was it? Think its time I got one as had 'air susp inactive' error message up for a few weeks that only just had cleared at repair garage this week

Cant remember off hand but will dig out the receipts. The iid tool comes blank so is the same for all models just when you first plug in downloads vehicle details to it. And l have just resolved a major cooling issue with the iid tool. It is invaluable.

If you cant suss it you are welcome to come see me and l will help, also the air suspension on mine played up for a while. If its slow going up it may just be a compressor piston ring, dead easy to change again and cheap on fleabay too |

Ok got mine from or direct, they only list the one part number as they are all the same, l was sceptical at first when they told me. Just been on their website and they are out of stock at the mo, worth a call or email though. I might go under the car tomorrow to have a look at my rack and adjust the off road height to get a bit more room, if l do l will get some notes made. |

Thanks Cov, I'm on the Herts/Essex border just north of london so you're a bit of a distance away, but I'll look into the IID tool and may well be back for tips on adjusting the access height. Has anyone said it could wear the bags quicker because it will be sitting lower on them? (I'm assuming letting more air out of them?) - if thats how it works? |

Hi, Very easy to do as has been said, it will back up all your original settings before you start so no need to write anything down, you can return it to stock with a few clicks....

Just done a quick video, put it on YouTube, backing it up is a better idea as suggested.
