24 hours later with my first L322

So picked her up , and I have to say its the nocest car Ive ever driven , absolutely love it and wouldnt trade it for anything , but this is where the fun of second hand cars start, a few little issues :

1. It has the retractable side steps, passanger one works perfectly but the drivers side neither fully retracts or deploys, it kind of cycles a bit and goes mostly back but not the full way, how does one fix this ?

2. The passenger side xenon has a habbit of turning off sometimes , if i flick the lights off and on again its fine but id like to get that one fully sorted.

3. The smart key battery is low on the second key, what battery is it and can I replace it myself ?

Ours has the same problem. I read on here that it may be the ballast resistor that screws onto the back of the headlamp unit.

Does yours throw any errors when it goes ? Nothing comes up on the dash for mine which is annoying to say the least, the bulb is a different colour to the right side so im going to check if its a cheap / old bulb first

The smart key batteries are easy to change

1. place the key on the table face up keyring end closest to you, look at the opposite end to where the keyring is.
2. between the 2 metal parts is a small black rectangle.
3. push this in.
4. as pushing in open the metal part on the left as looking at the key, hinges round the key ring end
5.under the cover you will see a clip and a flat black bit, this is the battery drawer.
6. pull out drawer
7. remove battery. CR2032.

Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

None at all! Turn on the lights, passenger side light off, turn switch on and off a couple of times, light comes on. These are both new xenon bulbs. I have a spare resistor which I'm going to swap when I get chance, but the screws are difficult to get at!

Im not sure you can completely change the speedo to read Kmh, you can however get a little box in the centre of the speedo to read in Kmh:

on the dash menu, select trip computer - units - Kmh, l/100km this will then put up a digital speedo with the units in Kmh.

I'm not sure if you can change the whole speedo on the iid. but someone will know.....

In regards the steps, it is probably catching/jamming/stiff, a good clean and a squirt of lube may help? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Id find it very hard to believe the speedo can't be km/h , its a screen , I would have thought it would just be in settings but now I'm starting to think it may be a ccf edit or at worst a reflash.

The iid defo can change the dials the kph. Not just the little box but the numbers around the dial. There's plenty other reasons to buy one Thumbs Up
