The Met SEG video (Inconspicuous Ingenuity) is well worth the watch, especially the full run from Heathrow to somewhere on the South bank.

The teamwork, trust, safety and skill of the bike team is amazing, how they work the route and the traffic is great to watch.

Nice find Mr 777 Thumbs Up .

Hi Joe90

I agree - thought it was interesting as we all love our RR.

Out of Interest I was in the traffic division in London for some years - and its a art and takes months to complete the course.

One other thing - I read your posts you put on here and you contribute great stuff - which we all thank you.

Best wishes Joe90

Where were you based, Emirates777? I was at H and then J.

The first video demonstrates the choreography of the bike-dance beautifully.

Did you ever work with the SEG during state visits and the like? It was always a laugh to not line the front wheel valves up, get the parked spacing wrong and to push the horn instead of the starter on the count of three…Traffic rabble!

I've driven in these type of convoys over the years but transporting troops in coaches through cities for various events and these outriders are great but a bit insane as well . In 30mph roads they are passing left and right side of the convoy of coaches at speeds of at least 70mph to enable them to get to the next set of lights . The last one I did we travelled about 6 miles and went through the city centre of Plymouth on a week day morning at around 8.30 am and the convoy consisted of a dozen coaches and it never stopped once !

It's quite interesting to see these videos with Police M/Cs and cars everywhere. Wonder what Phil thought of it all. He was quite anti about seeing any protection around when he wasn't with her. John

Charles certainly didn't like the police being around him . . .
One dark winter in the early nineties he visited Buxton Opera House for a performance. His charge for the evening was a Bentley Turbo R . . .
I was a foot bobby on the night and like others there, were told to keep our heads down.
The Derbyshire police firearms support came in the form of four rotund armed chaps in a "C" registered four door Range Rover.
They also had to stay out of the way.
At the end, Charlie left in his Flying B but decided to go via another route to that agreed so he could view the Crescent building.
Picture the scene. Bentley charging off in the wrong direction leaving the occupants of the slightly asthmatic carburettored extremely top heavy RR floundering around the back streets desperately trying to find the future monarch.
Great to watch as a spectator. I can still hear the RR roaring about !

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

Surely everyone knows about (SEG) bike number plates?
