Royal Protection Squad. Also use D4s (which is what Ant & Dec travelled in). Convoys are usually lead by outriders (6 on constant overlap so two always lead whilst the others keep side roads clear) followed by FFRR, principal, then D4. If flunkeys are travelling they are usually in either a D4 or V class Merc behind the principalnfollowed by the RPS D4. Working in Central London its a common sight.

'Scuse my ignorance, but what is a sentinel? Most VIP convoys I see in London are made up of D4s, FFRR, Jag and V class people mover. The outriders use BMW bikes (900s I think). Is a Sentinel a tricked up version of one of the aforementioned cars?

Sounds awesome Thumbs Up

Interesting that it uses the V6 - I guess they've got to save all the weight that they can.....

I think the outriders now use Plain White Honda VFR1200's for Royal Escort, normal police mainly use BMW R1200RT's with all the dayglo

A few security services use the FFRRS and with the new law in place that allows other services in unmarked cars its getting a bit hard finding out who these guys are.
