HMmmmmmm, I suppose now would be a good time to get mine off and have another look to see if I can get it working as the glow plug has arrived and I'm thinking this is the issue,

Worked in my family for much longer than I've been alive and not broken a screen yet! Avoids a scratched screen and the de icer stuff is horrid as once the screen is cleared of it the screen can refreeze! Pointless IMO as 99% of cars on the road won't heat the washer fluid and it takes a while to get a screen above -' temps to stop water freezing on contact with it..

Sometimes the old ways are the best ways!!!

Unless you have park heat of course!!! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Just reminded me to press mine on the disco......

We could of course just use the heated screen if we forget Whistle to turn it on. Will be chilly in the car then tho..... Big Cry There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

the bit about clearing the screen on typical cars, that i hate, is, after you have done it, you drive off, trying hard not to breathe out on the inside screen, but then, you think you could clear it a bit better, by flicking the wipers....you have correctly plucked them against the screen, so you know they will move... but they are frozen still, and make a really horrible jumpy action, and make the screen worse. and as mentioned, you need to drive at least 20 miles, before anything like warm water will come from the blocked squirters. and if you had used de-icer, it smears and looks horrid.
We have an old 4 pint milk bottle, in the porch, for filling with kettle dreggs, and top up with cool. and give it all a good splosh. chuck the empty bottle on the seat, so you dont need to return to house, to allow that seemingly innocent paper boy on his bike, to steal your running car..

i could go back to the days when you had to remember to take the blanket off the top of the engine, and play with the choke, and pump the pedal a few times, and say a nice prayer....
