Hi All

My 2010 TDV8 has developed an annoying thunk when it changes from 1st to 2nd.

It feels like it sticks and then drops in. All other gears OK and OK when in sport mode.

I had the transmission and diff fluid changed at 70k (now done 80K)

Wondering if anyone else has had similar - wondering if the box needs a reset?

have a search, it is a fairly common problem, there is a gearbox software update which can help to reduce the problem, but not completely remove it. if it is a really big thunk then that is not right and needs looking at asap.

did you have a simple fluid and filter change or a total flush, if the former then you may get a benefit from another fluid swap and the software update as a fair bit of the original fluid stays in the box and the second swap will dilute the original fluid further.

have a search there are quite a few threads on it  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
