Am awaiting pics. Bound to be too pricey for what it is too..... Could be the next monkey transport in a few years time when some other poor mofo has paid the depreciation off! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Yeh, there are few sites banding the specs and prices around.

It's the engines that has surprised me 340BHP in a disco.

The dealer that i normally deal with has said Land rover have really pushed the boat out with the tech on this car.

Been told that'll be announced in May and go on sale from August/September 16. I'd have thought the HSE Lux might just have a base of approaching £70K with the HSE 5K or so less.

I'm sure it'll be worth a look and I haven't ruled out buying a new one and holding it for 12 months and selling while the prices are still very firm. Then possibly buying a nearly new face-lift L405.

The supercharged V6 isn't offered in the UK in the L494 or L405 either, nor is the NA 5.0 V8 - would be very surprised if there's a market for it in this and not them. They'll all be diesels in Europe.

So you recon that we won't get a petrol engine for the Uk market.

I think you may find there will be. With all the emissions hype thats out there and media slating the diesel cars that are being produced, VW and the likes.
I have been informed that we should be getting the new Ingenium engines both petrol and diesel also the 3.0 V6 petrol.

The car that Mick posted is the 3.0L V6 that they are testing.

We will have to wait and see. 2020 Porsche Panamera Turbo Hybrid (V FAST)

Hi,

I'm think Land Rover are running out of ideas for styling their cars.

Looks very much like a Ford to me.

And £70,000 plus!!! Blimey. At one time a Discovery appealed to the ordinary working man with children How times have changed.

Certainly possible, but given that everything is still geared around financially punishing CO2 emissions in the EU there isn't going to be a massive change overnight. For a lot of the world diesel is a non-starter (the US has only just got diesel Sports and Discoveries, and I imagine the VW business won't be helping their sales).

Ingenium 4-cylinders will surely go into it at some point (see how many four cylinder X5s and MLs are driving around), but I imagine the 3.0 SDV6 will be the focus for the UK and Europe.

Re the price - everything has moved up market, the new Defender will fill the gap when it arrives. Also remember that list price is irrelevant to most people - they're all on the never-never, so the monthlies are all that matter.

I know someone that gets some info on the cars and engines. They test not far from me and they have had one of the new petrol Ingenium engines pushing 600 Hp apparently in a big car. the engines are new so who knows what we will be getting but i think that we will be getting petrol and electric from Land rover very soon. In 5 years this will be the norm with most manufacturers. Diesel is dirty and we won't need it for torque with electric motors. 2020 Porsche Panamera Turbo Hybrid (V FAST)

Problem for Land Rover is that there are only 4 cylinder Ingenium engines so far, and they're miles behind the competition in hybrid technology.

I suspect there will be a lot of SDV6 Discovery 5s around.
