England 2008 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
£1000

All,

For the above amount what would you recommend spending it on mod/oils/service wise and in what order....(I'm aware it's not a great deal of cash for our vehicles but it's 'what's on the table' (or under the Xmas tree), I can always add my tuppence;)

Any must do's...

So let's hear your suggestions...

2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black

For me it would be a trip to a well known expert based in Dursely who happens to be a very regular contributor on this site. The conversation would involve when the transmission was last flushed and refilled. I'd start with just that on the list because you know deep down that once you start a job, theres always another with these lovely cars, so I'd hold some cash in reserve.

IF the reserve was intact at the end, then I'd look at engine oil and or filters. If you're still in the black so to speak look at cosmetic improvements for example Craig (there - I've told you who he is!) does a nice line in replacement steering wheels that are on my list

If your car is new to you, it's worth spending the £60 to have a 4 wheel alignment. This will save you tyre wear, and give you the best drive available, and might show up a worn suspension joint, thus saving you tyre wear etc. I would then have all filters, and fluids changed at a trusted Indy. And any leaks pointed out and monitored. All available change to be spent at the cosmetics counter, for some decent washing equipment/bottles etc.
And then fill the tank, and drive the @rse off it!

Hunter alignment was first on my list and already done Thumbs Up

Has already had service done when bought and only done 4k since ,

Ok, So far would be

1.Gearbox flush and renew, ( unsure if this is needed as yet but seems best to have it looked at maybe for preventive / peace of mind as no plans to get rid of vehicle in near future as enjoying too much Very Happy ),

2.Someone to do an inspection2 as that's what's going to be next up, ( £200+ dearer to use Main Dealer to nearest local indie 'Roberts Country Vehicles',in Kent area any know of/used them?)

3. Ordered new FBH internals as codes point to faulty glow plug?,

4. Was to renew front headlight unit as my Main Beam inner ring had come adrift and melted on the bulb ( done this with new used unit from forum member dingg1 Thumbs Up )
