My other half brought me a new set of the carpet ones with all the alloy tips and badges but there half the thickness as the ones in now so do they do two type of genuine carpet mats as they seem a little average for 140 quid so will return and put money to the better ones  _____________________________________________________

the genuine carpet ones mine had in when i got it had that crumb rubber backing. On any car i've ever had that type of mat in the rubber breaks up after a year or two, the foam backed ones last better, but the Land-Rover ones only have that cheap crumb rubber stuff. I think you're paying £20 for the mats and £120 for the badges.

I replaced them with the all rubber mats they're good quality.

But the Land-Rover carpet ones are shockingly over priced for what they are, i'd expect deep pile Wilton carpets for that money! After market Sheep skin ones aren't much more!

Would be interested to know if there is more than type too, I have rubber mats and the £165/180 sort of price for genuine ones always seems very expensive but I do keep hankering after genuine carpet mats.
