now i know one of you can help with this
ive a message on the dash which says A/V OFF. what the hell does that mean

i did do a search on here first. the question has been asked before and no one had an answer for him so thats not a bad idea. no one mist have known then eh. i thought it meant auto something. i would never have thought of the radio cos if i cant hear it then i know its off why would i need telling. never mind now i know.

Ah - sorry - I misunderstood Embarassed - so your radio was off.

I was confusing it with this thread which implied the radio was still on with the message being displayed :thumbs:

no mate the radio was off when i turned the ignition on and the message popped up. thought it might have been a problem. never thought it meant me radio was turned off haha. strange thing to tell you dont you think.

it's probably because you have your dash set to the screen where it displays the Radio station or CD track, instead of MPG, Clock, average speed etc. (change it by pushing the button on the end of the indicator stalk)

If it's set to that and you switch off the radio is displays A/V Off, because there's no longer a radio station etc to display.
