Yes and no. They work together but not the same ownership. But the real question is where and how Hella labeled radiators are made vs the Behr labeled ones. Is the short life expectancy of Behr radiators due to design, workmanship or quality control. If it is poor design then it doesn't matter where it is made. But if the design is good then workmanship and quality control of that facility will make it or break it.
All this is a moot point if I decide to go with the life time warranty supplier. More of an issue with my 1994 325ic that had catastrophic failure with the plastic hose connection just separating at 60k miles.

Although it's better than 12 months , a lifetime warranty means nothing if it costs you $1000 labor to fit a part that fails every month Laughing

If I can't find a suitable replacement I'll just pay the dealer to do it , that way labour is covered too , anywhere in the USA .
This is what I did with the stat and expansion bottle .
They were actually cheaper than the Indy quoted for that job too !! Shocked

$1000 in labor for maybe a 3 hour job? I think I will change professions.

Book hours is probobly nearer 5 than 3 . I think I get charged 120 an hour .
Plus an ac recharge .

So probobly $1000 with the rad rather than my original guess at labour .

But Taking into account the likelyhoid that it will never happen on my driveway , also means my lost work time adds to the bill .

Plus the drama of towing , getting home to get another car to use , then getting a lift back to collect the rover when it's repaired , etc etc

I'd rather have a part fitted that has a slim chance of future failure rather than rely on a piece of paper with "lifetime warranty" written on it Laughing

Off topic , but a good deal for us guys in the USA is the aaa battery service .

They're competitive with buying s battery at a store and its fitted by them .
But the kicker is , when it fails they replace , and when a battery fails you'll be calling aaa anyway !!!

No brainier right ?

So the day after I drive this car home I had aaa fit a new battery .
Last month when if died they said they wouldn't install on s rangerover in case they broke it !! .eek:

I'm no longer recommending aaa batteries Smile)

I don't find that lifetime AAA battery deal. I only find a 3 yr replacement and 6 yr prorated deal. That aside if the mechanic can't figure how to replace a battery without damaging the car you shouldn't have that incompetent person anywhere near your car.

I didn't realize you had the 2007. Then $1000 with parts, labor and AC at the dealer isn't so bad. No AC discharge/recharge needed for the 2004.

I kicked up a fuss with aaa office about 3 different aaa guys (all from same local contractor) refusing to fit the battery .

Apparently they're under bosses orders no rangerover and no Porsche after one of them messed up a rover sport sc with the memory saver a while back Shocked

In the end aaa gave me a new battery and I got it installed at the local Indy so voided the warranty .
But with Porsches and a rover on the drive that warranty was worthless anyway ....

One of the "fallout" guys looked in the garage at a 73 carrera and 56 beetle project and asked if I was a mechanic .
He then proudly told me he had worked for pepboys for 8 years before starting his aaa job Laughing

Its a shame in this day of smart phones, tablets and mobile wifi a mechanic can't take 2 minutes to find almost any procedure on YouTube. Hell with Google voice you don't even need to read or speak English(American).
