United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Autobiography 4.2 SC V8 Bonatti Grey
More info required, Autobiography or Overfinch?

Hi there,
Had my car for a week now and I'm loving it, I am really interested in finding out all I can about it's specification when new, optional extra's, Autobiography extra's, Overfinch extra's etc.
Is there anyone on here who would send me purchase details based on my vin number?

I purchased this car as an MY2006 FFRR Vogue SE, Autobiography, 4.2 SC (Jag in think?) Overfinch, the logbook says Vogue SE only?

Also what interior is this? AB or Overfinch??

Its an optional extra VSE two tone trim... The SC model had pretty much the top spec’d everything so... If you had a lower spec’d similar aged model with those seats. It would have been ordered and then badged as an Autobiography... Hopefully that makes a little sense?

I have 2 tone seats on my VSE and there's nothing to indicate it's an AB Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

So VSE SC with Overfinch rather than VSE SC AB with Overfinch as advertised.

Think the trader had no idea what he was selling to be honest!! Not as issue personally, just interested.
My interior badges are "supercharged" sill plates and Overfinch on wheel, exterior is Overfinch and supercharged Thumbs Up

Most non specialist dealers have no idea what they're selling. Go by what it's says on the V5, or the build spec from LR customer services. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

someone told me, that (in p38 days) if you specced 6 options, it became an AB. it then got a plate on the front slam panel. if you ordered it through overfinch, they badge it as overfinch, even though it might only have one option, like engine work, (in those days) or seats. i think there are more overfinch badges and letters sold than good old LR ovals. they must wear out quick, from all the polishing they get....
true a dealer will sell anything that looks like it is the genuine article.
like vogue with 'all the options like'...blah blah.
it does look weird seeing so many FF's badged as 'overfinch' across its bonnet/boot.
like its not a range rover...

am i right in thinking, thatt now days, overfinch is just 'wheels and bodykits/spoilers'?
......and badges!

you can buy a pair of OF badges for £10 on ebay.

at least it means no-one will steal them.

however i thinkl an AB badge, you need the v5 at a dealers, in order to buy, and then its expensive. and they weigh a lot, they are solid stainless i think. i have one at home.
