AECMA

There is an aerospace organisation (AECMA) who invented a form of standardised English , ostensibly to make contracts and specifications more accessible to european nationalities for multinational projects. From my experience on such projects (NH90 NFR90 Airbus etc) the only nationalities who had trouble with it were the Brits!! and the Americans, for some reason it scared the crap out of the US Cousins!

AFAIK it still used , and has spread into technical manuals and publications

So no need for any Germanic influence on the beautiful language of Shakespeare then.

I say Apache, you say Kampfhubschrauber !!!!

In answer to your original suggestion, Angel, it is a widely held belief among English speakers that foreigners will be able to understand us provided we speak loudly enough. Therefore, just change the font to a much larger size and you should be sorted. Mr. Green
