In all seriousness Graham, might i suggest you get into the habit of stopping the engine when you exit the car to close the gate? Certainly here in the UK, if you either, got ran over by your own car! or it was stolen whilst you were closing your gate! in either case, I’m sure you would NOT be insured sir...

Other good habit is to always apply the handbrake when stopped, and before going into PARK. .

More to the point, is this normal for this model L322 (it certainly was not for my D4) or is there a fault that can be rectified? The PDC module is the same physical part as used in the D4 so there has to be a logic fault as no PDC DTCs are stored and the lone beep is short rather than the long one that the D4 made if its sensors were too dirty.
