Right, this is driving me crazy.

In my old 322 Vogue, the rear seat backs folded forward then there was a lever to pull and the whole seat (back and bench) tilted forward again to increase the load space.

I can't get that to happen on the new L405 Vogue. I can fold the rear seat back forward - but is that it? Does the whole thing then tilt forward as before? Or does it no longer do that.... (why not......?)

Yes, I just assumed it would too, a step backward.

But the seat back does power fold!!!

It does fold down completely on the button in the back and they move the front seats forward so the head rests do not snag on the seats

the base of the seat may not move but it gives a pretty large basically flat area with the seats folded down & yes you can only do from the boot not from the side of the car

Thanks all for your responses. Vogue SE has the power folding rear seats. The straight Vogue doesn't have that so its a manual fold job.

But at least I now know to stop trying to heave the seat bench forward.

It's far from flat and I'm always cautious of putting too much weight on it.

In my L322 I would happily carry a washing machine, but not in the L405

Just seen they've changed the seat backs for 16MY!

Is that plastic backing?!
