Australia 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Bournville

It appears that the Faultmate cannot effect CCF changes to the MY11/12 even though it thinks it can and results in what appears to be a bricked ecm, but fortunately only temporarily.

The ecm holds a copy of the ccf data but the Faultmate function to match the ecm ccf data with bcu data fails with an error, possibly because of lack of engine nomination for 3.6L or 4.4L so the command may not be correct for the 4.4L ecm. After writing the ccf or restoring a previous backup copy of the ccf then attempting to match the ecm ccf data with the bcu, the engine will not start until all instrument display messages are cleared using the OK button. I found the apparently bricked ecm unsettling but eventually stumbled on the cure.

Edit: BBS are working on a fix for a bug in their s/w so hopefully Faultmate will soon be able to make CCF changes to these vehicles.
