I would imagine the fault would be in the screen, not the unit... so swapping wouldn't work.... It's a liquid crystal screen and they don't last forever.... Just my 2p Pete

Could be that it is over heating due to the CCFL tubes in the backlight getting hotter with age especially at the ends of the tubes. |
