Last business I owned we decided to have an apprentice, they said we had to have a health and safety plan in force for them (we didn't need one for us as I didn't employ enough people)

It went like this...

Health and Safety..

1. Be Censored careful

The Management..

I had it laminated and put on the wall and the guy arranging the apprentice said it was fine, they just needed to see it, it didn't matter what was in it....!!?!?!??!?!?! Pete

Health & Safety gone mad. Quite.

Here's 6 avoidable deaths at work just from court cases just this month.

I can sort of understand the 'costs' part but where does all the 'fine money' go?

And not one of them caused by failing to use a willie protector whilst taking a slash !! Perhaps if the H&S staff were to pay attention to the real issues they wouldn't have time to dream up these mental things.

they should have just put up a sign, saying if your hands are dirty, either wash them FIRST, and after, or just SIT DOWN!
where does the she-pee tube go after?

and do they have extra large ones?

I bet they got the idea from all the half filled bottles of 'driver-tizer' we see in gutters around the driving roads in Britain.

Why's that then? Is my point not correct?

You seem to be saying that H&S has its place, which indeed it does. My point was that if they spent less time on frivolous, nonsensical stuff like willie protectors then their time would be freed up to deal with serious stuff like those you mentioned and perhaps more avoidable deaths would actually be avoided.

Are we not in agreement here? Confused

FFS, everyone knows you wash you hands after using the bog and I really have never caught anything ghastly from taking an unprotected slash, or a dump for that matter. I have had much closer calls on site though where the H&S guy ought to have been doing a better job

For the hard of understanding - it's not a willie protector.
