On the dash question, no idea. If you look in settings on the infotainment, there are some settings for the Nav at night. Maybe fiddle with those? Might have a knock on effect on the dash.

Afraid that the branch only works on Austin 1100s but the nav system is worth a look. I looked this evening and there is an orange light on part of the cluster but when your eyes are as poor as mine and the illumination is rather dim it's difficult to tell which side to unlock and which to lock. I do appreciate the kind thoughts and advice and I'll come back if I find a better solution. Cheers |

So the switches should be illuminated and there is an amber LED to indicate that the car is locked.

Well done Emperor, I'm going to go and check again but what you've shown is pretty clear cut. Even I can see that! |

Just gone out and checked and it's in darkness. Think the bulb has gone out. Thanks very much for your help |

For the dash brightness, have you got it on 'torch' view or normal? Torch is the option that highlights the speed 5-10mph either side of your current speed and follows it round the dial, whereas normal view illuminates the whole speedo & tacho and is quite a lot brighter. Steve

The car is going in next week to have the illumination in the memory seat modules ( both sides ) done but if any one out there can answer me the following I'd appreciate it.

It's only two years old (I've had it for ten months) but like you I don't do a lot of mileage, so didn't notice until the dark days arrived recently |
