Clonks!

Hefty clonking noise ... sounds like back end driver's side but could be both sides and I know sounds under a car can be deceptive so might be front end possibly? ... no, almost certainly back end. On any uneven surface or pothole down to as slow as 5mph. I'll get my mechanic guy to drive it so he can decide what to look for but it would be nice to sound intelligent when I see him! Fancy I've read about clonky suspension somewhere on here before. 2011 Vogue SE TDV8 with 50k miles on it. Any suggestions appreciated.

If is from the front I would start with the bottom ball joints.
Pretty easy fix

get it in the air and have a go with a pry bar, about the only decent way to track down the clonk..... apart from a shaker rig.

check the anti roll drop links, at the front, as they are normally one of the first things to go, failing that as said check the bottom ball joints at the front and also the upper arm (big arm) ball joints, and track rod ends.

rose joints at top of the rear hubs also wear, but probably not at 4 years 50k, so would start at the front. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
