Hi all,
Have noticed lately (when using stop button) an odd noise when stopping the engine there is a "pop" or cough from engine.
It's like a cough, cough pop & engine then cuts out on last pop

Could it be over run or something else?

Any ideas?

sounds like over run to me. Has it got the correct spark plugs fitted (and in good condition?)

Is it showing any fault codes for injectors?

Thanks zircon, It's a diesel tho so hope no spark plugs
I don't have a fault code reader so don't know if there are any, could diesel injectors cause similar fault?

Sorry i just clicked the little car by your avatar and it said 4.4 V8, rather than TDV8, so assumed it was an AJ petrol.

But yes if an injector or two are leaking it could make it run on with a Diesel (or even a petrol if it's hot enough.)
