Advice - Selling a FF RR MY 06

Hi Guys.

Please dont tell me off for posting in the wrong section of the forum.

I have a great opportunity to buy a MY11 Overfinch FF RR and if I do will need to sell my FF MY06 and am trying to work out what I might get for it.

It is an excellent condition 06 year TD6 Vogue with 22 inch wheels, side steps, full sound system etc. It has only done 65,000 miles (which I think might add some value). It has also has a full 'Steeler' service history with it. - I have known the car since 3 months old and it has never had a problem.

I am thinking it might be worth between £12,000 and £14,500

Am I far out?

Cheers

Mark

i think £12k could be the top end, mind you it does have lowish miles.

TBH I would be very happy getting 14k for mine which is an 07 MY (key in dash, Ter. Resp. RSE hot-cold seats and a top end lpg instal. from new) so with all the options and a fsh and 80k mls. So I think you might be on the high there. but hey you never know when you find the buyer that is willing to pay your price. It's always worth a try. Thumbs Up

I personally think if the car is totally immaculate then you may get 12k for it. I personally would rather pay 12k for an immaculate / well cared for Td6 than the same for a ropey/high miles tdv8.. And there's plenty of ropey RRs out there, is hard to find a nice car in that price range imo.

Thanks guys

Nice to hear the opinions. I spoke to the guy with the Overfinch tonight and I am buying it, so its good to get a better idea of the value of mine. I am thinking I will advertise at £12k with a view to getting £11 maybe.

Cheers

Mark.

Hi. Agree with JPS. Thumbs Up If you have the time hold out for 12k - you can always come down in price. If urgent as it may seem to be given that you have spotted a potential buy, then you may not be in a position to get top dollar. If the prospective new car is a bargain then maybe not such a problem unless you need the extra to do a deal.
Can you part ex with the MY11?

If your car is that good, hang on to it until you are sure you are getting a good deal. FFRRs are always coming up for sale so (not always good, granted) if you miss this deal, another will be along soon. Take your time (easier said than done maybe). Wish I had taken my own advise in the past Smile

Lucky Me

I don't need to pick up the Overfinch for a month. I am buying off a friend. It also seems a good deal (£32k for a 30,000 mile car with all the trimmings), so I don't want to lose out.

I can hold out for at least the month, and longer if possible as he will wait for the last £10k.

Now I need to find out more about MY11 cars!

M
