just received recall notice for the L405 I just p/ex.... Door latch?

"A concern has been identified where customers have reported the inability to secure the door in the closed position either on the primary or secondary latch. Some customers have reported that one of the vehicle doors has opened whilst the vehicle was in motion. Vehicle doors not securely latched in the closed position may, during driving, open. This can increase the risk of a vehicle crash or compromise the safety of vehicle occupants." Norman

I got this letter in the post too (mines a 2013 autobiography)

2013 model year to 2016 model year range rover and ranger rover sports - fix will take between 20 to 45 minutes to complete

Letter states 2013-2016 Ffrr and rrs but doesn't include my sept 2015 build recently collected......

Is this just for ones with the soft close feature thing as well? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

No, my 15.5 doesn't have soft close and is affected

I have a 15.5 MY but no letter. I wonder if it could have been done while they were fixing it for 5 weeks

I haven't got this yet. I wonder if it has anything to do with my not being able to open the passenger door one day recently. It's never happened again since, but it was very annoying for my wife who had to climb over and out of my door!

My 2014 L405 was booked in today at Guy Salmon Stockport, they replaced the locking module as part of the recall. Just had to add that I’ve previously used the Knutsford branch for the past 8 years and four new Range Rovers. In comparison the Stockport branch is definitely the branch to go to, no comparison. Staff are all friendly and look as if they enjoy coming to work. If you use Knutsford look for yourself at the staff and how many of them have eye contact with you!

Emailed my dealer today about this recall and they said to me the only recall they had on the L405 was to do with the removeable tow hook. Is he right? Mine is a 2013 3.0 Autobiography

There was also a software update for the DPF, and a read-only KVM was installed.
