Are we talking biodiesel from the pumps or filtered cooking oil made at home? 

The owner's manual IIRC says max 5% or 8% bio content - and not to use chip fat! Even my TDi300 won't run on even new chip oil without big modifications like tank pre-heating. When I go offroading most of the owners of Japanese engined 4x4's can be seen adding 5-10 litres of vege oil to their fuel tank and they run without any modifications quite happily with it, only thing is to make sure you are upwind of them if you don't want to smell like a mobile chippy 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
