Hi, Looking for help in tracing the cause of a ticking noise which first appeared a week ago in my 4.4 tdv8.

The noise appears to be coming from the centre console. I've turned the audio and ventilation systems to see if any of these are the source but the noise is still there.

There's an occasional single tick when the car is stationary but the main ticking noise only appears when the car moves forwards or backwards. The ticking stays at a constant speed regardless of the speed I'm travelling.

I've read other posts where owners state that the FBH is the cause but I've discounted that as the noise still appears after the engine is fully warmed up after a decent trip on the motorway.
