The front diffs did have a problem on the earlier cars but this was rectified on the latter models, regular oil changes should help prolong the life every 100k km minimum, same with the transfer box. It is worth changing the turbo hoses if they have not yet been done, or at least muting a top right one to have as a spare, as it is the common failure point.

The front diff I can't remember many issues with them on the FFRR although I vaguely remember one going recently (on a forum car).

Changing the oil in the diff every 100k might be good the first time around but with such a small volume of oil in the diff and leakage can be catastrophic. As we age leaks are more likely.

Not sure what the oil volume is in yours but my 03 is 750mls so not a lot of fluid should you develop a leak.

Alternator is a known issue, they have an nasty habit of dying suddenly without warning. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
