Alpine KCA-420i, Intravee II problems

I installed the Intravee II along with the Alpine KCA-420i in my 2003 RR today but i cant get it to work Big Cry
I got the 10pin connector to the CD-changer so i went to the local scrapyard and picked up a 3+6 pin connector and did the swap with the pins wich im positive is correct.
As sound source i got a Iphone 4 and when i got the phone connected to the Intravee setup and when i play a song in spotify or itunes the sound from the phone disapears but theres no sound coming from the car speakers.. You can se on the phone that the song is playing.
Also when i try to swich to the CD-changer on the mode button it only toogles between radio and tape, you dont have the cd option at all.
The kit was brand new in box so i doubt its broke.

I got the DSP and MK3 navigator if that makes any differance...
Any ideas?

Thanks and have a great weekend! L322 Vogue 2003

Does the phone recognise it is plugged into an Alpine accessory ?

Next time I pop out to the car I will try my IPhone 4s on my intravee

"Does the phone recognise it is plugged into an Alpine accessory ?"

How would i know that? Smile
When if i play music through spotify or itunes on the iphone 4 and then connect it to the Alpine kca-420i the sound dissapears from the phone but you can still see it playing up the song but i get no sound from my car speakers.

Also, i cant select CD as source on my car stereo so that must be the problem to begin with..

Thanks Smile L322 Vogue 2003

At a guess your intravee II isn't working, as it should show as the CD player. I would check your wiring, this may help

I spent hours working out which went were, there were a lot of helpful pin 3 to slot 5's out there, but they got a bit confusing to follow, and most didn't have the wire colour included which didn't help Evil or Very Mad Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

The reason I asked about what is displayed on th phone screen, as my IPod when onnected displays an Alpine logo.

I checked my IPhone on my Intravee today and at hey don't display a logo like the IPods.

Given you can't select on the headunit it sounds like the Intravee isn't powered or the ibus isn't there. It may be worth checking that you have got 12v on across the power and gnd wires at the Intravee.
