Fitting OE wood kit

I have a Vogue that for some reason doesn't have the wood effect dash panels, although it has sunroof, satnav etc.......I've recently bought all the parts I need in dark burr finish; two dash end panels, the four pieces that sit either side of the screen/heater controls and the door pocket trims.

I just wondered how I go about fitting the dash items? I assume I start by taking off the top of the dashboard and working my way down but if anyone has done this before I'd appreciate hearing the best way forward.

Many thanks Rules are made for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men.

Bloody hell, what a job! I pulled the dash to pieces in bright but sub-zero temperatures yesterday and what a sod it was. Lots of semi-hidden torx screws which was made worse after a while as I lost most of the feeling in my fingers! I've fitted all the dash wood parts now but in the process have lost illumination to the steering wheel controls. They all function normally but don't illuminate with the lights anymore so not sure what I've done, in fact I can't remember if they ever did have lights but I think they did.

Just have the trim on the door card cubby boxes to fit now. How do the door cards come off, any ideas? Apart from three torx screws I can't see anything and assume they're held on with press studs but I don't want to pull away at them and possibly break something.
Thanks for any replies. Rules are made for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men.

That's the risk, breaking the clips. You need to use something that resenbles a wide flat screwdriver made of something that won't scratch and just prise it away from the door, then you'll begin to see where the clips are.
