Rent a car...

It’s my anniversary next week and I am going away to Lucknam Park Hotel in bath for 5 days…

I have been trying to wangle a 5 day test drive out of the dealer who is selling me my car as I am car less at the mo…don’t want to turn up in the family car as the hotel is a bit posh (the car has been well abused by the wife and kids) Rolling Eyes

Have an account with sixt but they can only offer a Volvo or Merc where I am (no choice, you get what you are given).

Anyone know of a reasonable rate rental company that hires out nicer cars than the norm.

Searching on the web, big bucks…

Thanks

Try Thrifty,

My wife has rented some decent cars from them, typically, Range Rover Sport, BMW's, Jaguar XF and all at decent rates!

I had a BMW 3 Series Diesel last year, superb motor, and the XF is really nice as well! And Thrifty will deliver and collect the car from your home as well, unlike all the others!

Try Hertz at heathrow or any of the rental companies at heathrow, they have all the posh cars there. I rented a ML350 for the weekend last year. 2011 5.0SC Santorini Black

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue TDV6 Aintree Green

How about a classic car? Different, fun, acceptable to posh hotels (you sometimes even get asked to park where it is on show!) ...I've used these people several times and can recommend them: http://www.greatescapecars.co.uk/ but you may find some other firm nearer to you or able to drop off. Norman
