[For Sale] 2002 TD6 SE ***Sold***

Possibly one of the most original 2002 Range Rovers you will ever have a chance to own in Oslo Blue with blue interior. Unblemished, untampered with 100% genuine original in every way...Every part is a genuine Land Rover Part and no expense has been spared on this amazing FFRR

After 5 years of caring and cherishing my FFRR sadly the time has come to go out into the big wide world and take on a new venture so my trusty TD6 is for sale.

This isn't a run of the mill TD6 it has had 5 years and 16,000 miles of my OCD care and attention. Everything and I do mean everything is genuine Land Rover bought from Dan @ Duckworth or Shield Land Rover in Glasgow. I have a stack of invoices which if I were to total them up would scare me so I'm not wanting to take a heart attack just yet and the invoices are there for the new owner. Everything that goes wrong with these vehicles has been addressed and repaired, from regular servicing to gearbox flushes, below is a list of some of the jobs which I have done in my 5 years of ownership.

Front suspension control arms,
Front suspension lower arms
Drop links
Front brake backplates
Front Balljoints
4 rear rose bushes
Rear camber bolts
Rear track arms
Front camber bolts
Gearbox triple flush
Bonnet cables changed
FSR
Servotronic valve
High level brake light
Both front door handle cables (2 cables each side)
Rear wheel bearing
Discs & pads all round
Poly V Belt Tensioner
Track rod ends
4 wheel alignment
Air Con re-gassed and freezing cold
Secondary fuel pump
Fog lamps
Transfer box oil change
Rear diff oil change
EGR and manifold cleaned
Crankcase breather
Front driveshaft boot
Rear ABS sensor
4 height sensors
New sump cover (missing when purchased)
New front valance (missing when purchased)
Handbrake shoes
Handbrake cable (1 side)
All brake pipes replaced (metal and flexible)
4 brake calipers
Drivers door seal
Fuel filler cap
Full paintwork detail (several times in 5 years and looks stunning)
New battery

These are the things I can remember replacing, there are many more I've forgotten about as the list is never ending. As you can see this FFRR has had vast amounts of money poured into it and today it requires nothing for the foreseeable future. It runs and looks like a 10,000 mile vehicle.

This FFRR is fitted with a farmers hitch towbar (removable)

Mot'd until 19th April 2016 and there were no advisories on it's last test (yes it took me 5 years hard labour to get a clean MOT) 6 previous MOT's are here and the mileages read, 106747, 118857, 123276, 126416, 129154, 130987. The vehicle had 115,005 miles on the clock when I bought it.

The current mileage is 131863

Service History
9,828 Town and Country, Aberdeen
21,790 Town and Country, Aberdeen
33,466 MacRae & Dick, Inverness
44,924 MacRae & Dick, Inverness
56,037 MacRae & Dick, Inverness
66,213 MacRae & Dick, Inverness
88,473 MacRae & Dick, Inverness
104,445 MacRae & Dick, Inverness
114,805 AR Auto Diagnostics (just before I bought the vehicle)
Once I brought the FFRR home I changed the oil, filters and front suspension rebuild before using it
119,722 Self
123,480 Self

Due an oil change in 5,500 miles but it will have an oil change before the new owner collects

This FFRR is in exceptional/outstanding condition, in my ownership it has been lightly used and had every common fault replaced or repaired over the years. It has never let me down and can sit for weeks without moving yet when the ignition key is turned the engine fires into life. It blows no smoke on heavy right foot acceleration, the gearbox is silky smooth (as far as I am aware it had a new gearbox early in it's life) the air-con is freezing cold and everything works as it should

At the moment it has a full set of 18" winter tyres fitted to genuine FFRR wheels, if the new owner wishes they can have the choice of the original 5 spoke 18" wheels or the winter 18" wheels or genuine FFRR 2012 19" wheels as seen in the pictures below. Full set of FFRR rubber mats plus rear mat, rear parcel shelf and 2 side luggage nets

Given the overall condition and what has been done to this FFRR I am asking ***SOLD***

You won't find a better one

Thanks Contra, you're the only forum member that's seen it in the flesh. Going to be a sad day when it leaves the garage.

What a nice one, just about in budget for me too and with such a lot done! If only it hadn't been the best part of 400 miles away..... Someone's got a belter.

Well done with the sale Thumbs Up
The only thing that concerns me about your advert is the list of possible things I possibly might have to replace over the next few years. Big Cry

^ All the parts I've replaced are common faults with the FFRR, a search on the forum throws up these problems/parts all the time. I've found that replacing non genuine parts on other vehicles I've owned never lasted and never quite fitted correctly so always use genuine parts now as they last much longer and are a straight bolt on without any faffing about. Non original front suspension parts can be bought from a certain website/over the counter for a fraction of the cost of original parts, but it has been proven time and time again that they don't last. My FFRR had 115k on the clock when I bought it, my guess was that most of the parts were there from new and if they lasted that long then fitting original replacements would last another 115k. Man maths and my time involved meant it is cheaper in the long run to replace with genuine Land Rover parts.

The up side of this forum is there is a wealth of knowledge here and you only have to use the search button to find 99% of all problems with these vehicles. They are relatively simple to work on if you have the correct tools and a bit of common sense

Definitely agree with fitting genuine parts, after-market parts never seem "quite right" when you come to fit them.
Be interested to see what your replacement car is, assuming you intend to replace.
