large rubber mallet to the rear of the wheel, not many other successful ways really. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Get some air in the tyre. Put nuts on but with enough play that the wheel would wobble about. Then drive it slowly down the street with hard left/right turns of the steering wheel.

I'm in the RAC but don't think my package includes Home Start so not not sure if this is covered on my membership, I'll ring them tomorrow to check then if not it's out with the club hammer I guess !

And once it's off, put some copper grease on the back of it - then take all the others off & do the same.

get a 6 or 8ft length of 4x2" timber from a DIY shop, loosen the nuts off, jack it up and stick the wood in behind the wheel and lever the wheel off against the brake disc/caliper. It's easier than trying to swing a mallet which normally hits just about everything but the wheel (because it's awkward to swing it under there) |

Thanks for all the suggestions, I jacked it up on the "sprinter" jack recommended on here that I bought after it fell off the scissor jack a couple of years ago when I previously had to change a wheel! Then with a 4lb lump hammer I bought whacked carefully against a piece of 4" x 2" on the back side of the wheel and away it came

I'd have the other side checked as well whilst you are at it, has the tyre worn unevenly? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Slightly more wear on the inner edge but I did have it checked for alignment and camber etc on that machine I can't remember the name of now and it came up with a clean bill of health, all settings bang on! The spare at the moment came off the other side a while ago so I'm putting 2 new ones on to be sure and as the fronts were new only last year then it'll be all good |

for future ref. stuck wheel remote change.the way I do it is face away from car and donkey kick tyre at 12,and 6 o clock. a few times often starts it rocking. it is better to have and not need then need and not have |

^ This, done it lots of times and never not managed to remove a stuck wheel. It's not only easier to do but much safer |

May I suggest boiling water poured thru a spoke to hit the centre area of the wheel. It's worked for me. |

A block of wood and a heavy hammer sorted it for me,not too crazy but there is not much point stroking it like the dog! |
