MY2016 stock car purchase | |
I'm working with a dealer on a deal for a fairly standard brand new 2016 SDV8 Autobiography on his showroom floor.
Dealer has offered a discount that I was happy with (approx 6.5%) and I was all set to proceed with the deal.
However, it transpires that the car has some paint damage (large chip - no dent) that will require a body shop to repaint a quarter panel. Transport to the body shop will put 100miles+ on the car.
Mentally/emotionally, the car feels like it is worth less to me now - I agreed a deal on a perfect car, but now that it is less perfect and has been driven more miles it feels like the deal is not so good.
Should the dealer accept that the deal needs to change and is it reasonable for me to seek a further discount given I was previously happy with the deal?
