Hi I have a problem with my splash screen not turning off when I unlock the car and relock it again without putting the key in the ignition (e.g. unlocking the car looking for something in the boot and locking it again). If the car has been driven and you get out lock it as normal everything is fine.
However if I just unlock the car, puddle lights etc come on and relock it the splash screen stays on after all the other lights go out.

Is this a setting or has anyone else had this problem, if so how did you fix it.
On Saturday I looked for something in the boot forgot to put the key in the ignition only to come out Sunday morning to a flat battery.

normally the screen [as you say ] goes of pretty much straight away when you lock up after a journey for instance...the screen does stay on for up to 10 minutes if you unlock and then lock..i would see if this is the case , and if the screen does go out after 10 mins or so and you have a flat battery after this then its a new battery .. ... - .- -.

Maybe you've turned something on in the meantime.

The same issue has happened to me once, and at the time, I could only relate it to being ''semi-connected'' to the phone.

I have found out what I thought was the splash screen not shutting off and causing a flat battery is in fact the steering wheel motor not stopping when it retracts when you exit the car.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how do you fix it?

At the moment I just touch the adjuster for a nanosecond and this stops the motor from whirring .
