Hi all, I'm going to be going electric with the fans soon, and I'm trying to find out if it's possible to get a real time temp reading on the info panel, WITHOUT a iid tool! So that I can gauge the temperature range of the engine, and set the fans just right

I have seen the bit in wiki about the secret codes, but I'm not too sure as to whether this is set up / calibration, or info as it just says rpm / temp. And as my ffrr is soooooooooooo stable when it comes to all things computer, I don't really want to go accessing the ECU, with all the possible mishaps that might ensue, if it wont display the actual engine temp.

That looks Fab But how dose it work? I've got a feeling that you need a laptop with the correct software to access the data, or an OBD reader that's bluetooth Unless you can get it to work with a phone ?

I do have the cr*p iCarsoft tool, but beyond resetting the EAS faults, it is not much cop, and is really hard to navigate, without the overwhelming urge to reach for a large hammer. So I do tend not to use it. But if it is possible to get a real time temp reading, please let me know and I'll resist the urge for the hammer and persist with trying to navigate my way through. Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Err sort of looked, typed in engine temp in the search box and got overloaded

Having seen that link, I have been doing some digging and I can get the app for FREE

I've got one of them, bought it to see how good it is and am surprised... it's pretty good... talks to my Android head unit... app was free... updates every second and shows temp from top engine sensor among other things... I'll go and take a pic for you....

I noticed that they had an inclinometer function in the software, have you tried it Pete? Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
