Changed the crankcase breather for the vortex style one and put some valvoline diesel injector cleaner through it for good measure.

Search for vortex crankcase breather, and there are loads of threads on it. Have read a few, over the last few years and it seems the replacement vortex fits in the existing housing, don't need the whole kaboodle, afaik....... Have a search though! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Andy, Its interesting to read your outcome on just the breather. When I got my TD6 in April it was not the best of performers, kept changing down on any incline and sluggish. I only did one journey in the car before changing the breather to Vortex, EGR Delete and full clean of the inlet manifold I also put in one of the cheap e-bay plug in tuning boxes. The original breather filter was rock solid with gunk, the inlet had a 1/2 inch wall of black tar all over. I am now running on an average 8.5ltrs per 100k`s which is about 33MPG Its been as low as 7.8, 36mpg.

I had also done the EGR blanking kit prior to this ( about 18 months ago) but didn't see any massive improvement in mpg although it ran better I thought. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded |

Here you go, allow about 1 1/2 hours if you haven't done it before...
