Hello All. Friendly Advice Appreciated

Hello All,

I have finally decided to take the plunge and change our family 530d Touring for a L322 TDV8!!

I have always loved the Range Rover, and now, with 2 kids, I have the best excuse to get one!

I am think of going to see the below at some point.

Appreciate the forums honest opinion.

Thanks

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Welcome to the forum.

I know the advert says Vogue, but someone has added an SE to the tailgate badge. The big giveaway is the the tdv8 badge is always lined up to be level with the right of the correct badge, in this case, the e in Vogue.....

Proper Vogue SE's (or those rebadged properly) will have the tdv8 lined up under the e in SE.

What a saddo I am !

Looks tidy enough from the pics, but you can't see that much....

Have a look in the wiki for more info.

Check everything works, and for rust on the lower edge of the top tailgate and the rear wheel arch lips..... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Not an SE, is a vogue, it has optional cooled seats, if it was an SE on an 08 it would also have RSE as standard, which it doesn't. So its an optioned Vogue. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I agree with the above - Vogue + cooled seats - probably not an Original Overfinch, but not sure why Alan is so convinced.

If you're after one with an Overfinch ch kit then it looms OK, but there are probably better cars to be had - including JAYBOY's recomendation Thumbs Up

So I went to have a look at the car as its not too far and it looks and goes fine judging by a short test drive. Wheels could do with a refurb and bodywork would also benefit from a mop.

It has the Brembo calipers and the sticker showing recommended tyre pressures on the inside of the drivers door is labelled by Overfinch. Not sure if that makes it a geniune Overfinch however.

Only real concern is the lack of service history. The seller seems geniune enough, says its been misplaced. However when it comes to resale that wont count for much.

Full service history (Independent Specialist or Main Dealer) is essential with these vehicles IMHO. If it were me I would look for one that has it. Misplaced probably equals incomplete enough to warrant losing it.

If you really wanted this one you should factor in enough spare cash to put right the bits which are obvious plus a bit (lot) for anything else which might go wrong. And if you're going to do that you might be better spending the extra on a better car TBH.
