5 min into every drive.air suspension inactive hdc abs brake

Since I've owned my US 2004 HSE it has done this. 5 minutes into a drive, or instantly when leaving a rest stop pulling onto the highway I get...

Air Suspension Inactive
HDC Inactive
Brake warning light
ABS warning light
DSC warning light

The suspension locks to standard height, the truck actually drops itself slightly when this happens.

When the rover is parked and turned off, the suspension pops up slightly back and then front, on the next restart the codes are gone and everything functions proper for 5 minutes, then this happens again.

When off road moving slowly down a trail, moving slowly over snow, this does not happen... Only 5 minutes into a regular commute do these codes appear.

My ABS sensors all looked fine, I decided to pull the front drivers side on a hunch... It was seized into the hub.. I tried to get a flat head screw driver behind it, and it essentially crumbled. Should those pop right out? Is it normal for them to seized to the hub?

The wiring itself looks good, but the abs sensor itself is a melted mess in the hub.

Anyone have any experience with this problem? What was your fix?

Someone told me it could be a steering angle sensor, but that seems to function properly when I pull the battery and re-calibrate it locking the steering wheel left to right.

Any help would be greatly appreciate

As in turning the steering wheel lock to lock once you've wired the battery back in? If so yes that's been done and it clears the codes as it should...

But as soon as a commute gets under way all the codes come up.

it actually isn't, the alignment of the car does seem off... slight right dip to the steering wheel to go straight.

I see a recall for yaw sensor... Could that be related?

As far as worn ball joints, I just did the whole front suspension a month ago, tie rod ends/ uppers/ lowers/ etc...

Should I be going to the dealer for the alignment, or will any reputable place do?

Interesting, I've never heard of this causing a problem before.

steering angle sensor fault is registered because wheel is out of alignment
this causes hdc fault, which is controled by abs, because abs is in limp home mode air susp shuts down as it recieves various data from abs on the can bus line
i have repaired many of these after many visits to main dealer never had fault reappear

Very interesting... and I must admit, the alignment has been screwed for a long time...

Your input is greatly appreciated, I'll get it down to the alignment shop asap

I've never seen an L322 FFRR which doesn't have a steering wheel tilted slightly to the right when driving straight ahead. Shocked Even new ones! Discovery 4 HSE

Car needs an alignment anyway... Worth a try, I've tried many things to correct this. Dealer as well as independents have looked at the car, updated software, replaced sensors, etc etc etc to no avail.
