Will sell for over 17k when fixed

On which planet? Let's face it, the only thing going for it is that it's rare.

A 5 litre motor that produces 300 bhp. Whoopee Doo. I'll take a 5.0 charger at 510 bhp thanks. How about all those trim items when you need a spare? None available then. It's too different to be usable lest you break it, as the current owner has clearly discovered. Those BMW V8's are not very reconditionable, it has a custom one-off crank, you can't rebore it, can't even get new pistons and rings without having them custom made, etc. New engine at God knows how much then, and then it's no longer original with matching numbers so the value will diminish.

"WILL SELL FOR OVER £17,000 WHEN FIXED" - of course, so why don't you fix it and make some more profit?

Think matie might have been censored and you got caught up in it, seems to have vanished, from the site, OOOOOOOOOOO Shocked

Anyway, Overfinch, great if you own a refinery, not so good in the real world.. And it does raise the question if you do in fact own a refinery, would you be interested in a second hand, broken Overfinch? Got a feeling that, that car is going to be around for a wee while, well at least until some muppet has a drunk purchase on friday evening Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

that won't be its actual consumption, i have the same engine but the standard 4.4 version and that figure comes up each time u reset the consumption computer when stationary and it slowly rises to about 12mpg around town and I've just come back from doing around 1200 miles on holiday with average of 18mpg for the trip

That's funny, cos if I reset my consumption it just goes blank for a few miles and comes in around 30 mpg, must be a touch screen thing Wink

And while you say that you get 18 mpg from your 4.4, Matt, it isn't tuned up to near it's limit, unlike an Overfinch, which I would imagine does a lot less to the gallon than yours. After all if you can afford an Overfinch to start with, I can't imagine that the MPG is high on to have list Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
