£80k to play with.....

Afternoon peeps.

Had a debate in the pub with my brother about if you were given £80-£100k to invest what would you do with it. Can't blow it on fast cars or faster women Big Cry - no real sensible answer was achieved bar investing in property. So i thought I would turn to the ever knowledgeable forum for what you would do.....

put it under the bed forget its there and then in 5 years time find it by accident and be 100k better off.......

did that once with the vat man, was submitting returns but no one checked they had been paid back Banging Head Thud , racked up, and in the end they owed me £100K Shocked Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy which they duly paid over (eventually) There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Convertible bonds. If equities go up, you make money (but less than the equity market). If equities go down, you are supposed to be protected for most of the capital (though marked-to-market might be below what you paid).
