is it an unwritten law that says you must never let go of your gun? even when pouring a scotch? -he's not going to shoot/hit anything sitting on his stick, with a glass of malt in his hand now is he?
if it were mine id have the trailer's rear narrow seat changed to a camping loo, (you never know when the feeling hits you at that age,) and the other folded down and the picnic box extended

I imagine his gun is worth more than the L405 - I wouldn't put it down if I were him. I nearly cried when the stock of
my mere £1400 shotgun was damaged by a stray bit of broken clay.
