Hi all. Im a freel2 member thats come round here begging for advice on behalf of my Dad lol. His just bought a 2011 Vogue on a 61plate and on his long drive home has called me to find out how he can add a reverse cam like i did in my fl2.

Had a search on here and google and found posts on making your own kit with relays (cant see any MY info though) and seen 3rd party options for £299. What i really want to know is for a 2011 what do we need to retrofit the oem camera. Im guessing its the camera itself, maybe some leads and a ccf config. But itd be great to get definative answers so i can give him the cost of both options and work out if theres any advantage to oem over 3rd party.

Really? I thought it was a bit cheap to leave off a vogue. But then i thought well it is JLR

Is there a menu to turn it off? Because he goes to reverse and screen dosnt change. My impression was it should auto select from any screen view if it was there

Yep, the camera is standard and should switch when reverse is selected.

Look underneath the rear tailgate spoiler, is there a camera next to the rear wiper?

I think some base models didn’t have camera’s! Certainly in the pre 09 cars etc. The definitive answer will be to look under the 3rd brake light and see if it physically has a reverse cam
